About Us

We are so confident you won't find a like for like product cheaper elsewhere so we operate a simple customer price promise which is as follows. If you find an identical product cheaper elsewhere just call us and we will match the price where possible, this only applies to UK mainland orders. We ship worldwide.

Delivery charge is £7.50. Free delivery on orders over £65.00. Local customer and trade collections can be arranged strictly by prior arrangement from our stock holding warehouse just off the A30 near Newquay (see address further down this page)

Telephone orders are welcome on 01637 875 255 as we accept all major credit cards. If you would prefer to pay by cheque then please make payable to Door Handles UK Limited and post together with a copy of your order. Our sales helpline (for sales related matters only) is open from 9.00am - 5.30pm Mon-Friday just give us a call if you would prefer to talk to a human being before you place your order as we realise some people prefer to do it the old fashioned way. For any after sales or customer service matters it is encouraged to email your enquiry, this way you will be given priority.

We pride ourselves on the flexible approach we strive to maintain and always encourage interested parties to call with any technical/sales questions they may have no matter how trivial because we are here to help. If you would like to view any of our range of handles before you purchase we can arrange for samples on larger contract orders.

A frequent question that we are asked is how do we manage to be so much cheaper than other online door furniture stores? The simple answer is that by reducing our overheads to an absolute minimum ie, no fancy showroom and/or glossy brochures this enables us to pass on the saving directly to our existing and potential customer base.

Door Handles UK have grown to be one of the largest online door furniture stockists in the country because the products offer our customers exceptional value for money without compromising on the level of quality or service.
We also provide a full ironmongery service for contractors where a site visit is required.

Making A Purchase

Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our online shop and click "Add To Basket" on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. If you wish to remove any items from your basket just go to the "Edit Basket" page and tick the "Remove" box and then click the "Update" button.

Occasionally, if products are out of stock we may source them from different suppliers. If this happens we will always send you a product of an equivalent quality and value.

Delivery shortages or any faulty items should be notified to us, via email to cservices@doorhandlesuk.com within 7 days of receipt, any claims after this timescale may not be entertained.

All Door Handles UK products come with the highest standards of quality and excellence, and are manufactured from the highest quality brass available, however these products can sometimes be susceptible to small surface indentations due to malleability and nature of brass and chrome products. Surface indentations or minor imperfections of this nature may not disqualify a particular product from being of the highest possible quality.

All items in our Electrical switches/sockets section are not stock items and are supplied to meet your order, these items are non returnable.

We will not be liable to you for any loss of profits, administrative inconvenience, disappointment, indirect or consequential loss or damage arising out of any problem in relation to delivery and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than any refund we make under these conditions. This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.

Any cancellations prior to despatch maybe subject to appropriate card issuers fees.

We also ship internationally but you will need to contact us if you require this service as we do not ship International orders under the UK mainland conditions. If we receive an International which is outside our usual boundaries we will require payment for shipping to your country of choice. Cost of shipping a parcel internationally is weight dependant.

Upon despatch of your order an email or text (if mobile number provided) will be sent to you with the consignment number allowing you to track your package online and contact the relevant depot if at all required. We use a private courier usually UK Mail on a standard next day service. If you are out at the time of delivery a ticket will be left with options to either arrange a second delivery date or collect yourself from the local depot. If no action taken on receipt of the card redelivery will be attempted again the next working day. If second attempt fails the goods will be held at the local depot for your collection.

If the parcel is not collected and in the event it gets returned to Door Handles UK then a charge of £14.50 + Vat will be applied before any relevant refunds can be processed, this is the charge we actually incur from our courrier which obvioulsy we have to pass on.

We cannot change the delivery address once an order has been placed online.

Saturday morning deliveries can be arranged where possible carriage charge for this service is £25.00.

Just an additional note, we strongly recommend that common sense is used and tradesmen are not booked until the goods are received at your specified delivery address, this piece of advice is intended to be taken at your own discretion.

Delivery Schedule

We aim to deliver your order as soon as is possible and stock orders are usually despatched on a next day service and our preferred courrier is Parcelforce. This is subject to stock availability and clearance of funds.

Please allow an extra 2-3 days for all items in the Electrical section as these are made to order. This is subject to stock availability and clearance of funds. There are occasions where demand on certain products outstrips supply, should we be unable to deliver within 14 days we will advise you via email within the first 2 days of placing your order, with the option to cancel your order or select an alternative product. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us.

Back Orders

If your item is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be contacted with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.

Tax Charges

All prices in our store are inclusive of VAT.

Payment is provided securely online by SagePay or PayPal.

All transaction information passed between our site and the SagePay or PayPal Systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that nothing you pass to the SagePay or PayPal servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.

DoorhandlesUK do not disclose buyers information to third parties. Cookies are used on this shopping site, but only to keep track of the contents of your shopping basket once you have selected an item.

Returns Policy

You may cancel your order at any time prior to the order being dispatched. If you have notified us of a problem with the goods, we will either make good any shortage or non-delivery; replace or repair any goods that are damaged or defective upon delivery; or refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question. In the event you wish to return any items you must contact us to obtain an official returns reference number within 14 days of receipt of order. This can be obtained by emailing our customer services dept at cservices@doorhandlesuk.com. Goods ordered in error, surplus to your requirement or unsuitable should be returned to us within 14 days of issue of return reference - on condition that they have not been used or fitted and they are undamaged in the original packaging. Goods ordered in error, surplus to requirements or unsuitable may be subject to a 15% handling charge if returned.

Any items returned without a returns reference number may not be accepted. Any items which are surplus to requirement 28 days after receipt will not be accepted.

Any items returned must be in original packaging unmarked and in a resalable condition.

After examination of returned goods refunds will be processed within 30 days. Cost for return to us will be paid for by the customer and cannot be reimbursed. Any special orders may not be returned for any reason. Goods returned under complaint may have to be returned to the Manufacturer for inspection and report.

If we supply any goods in error then of course a full credit will be issued.

Any items marked as 'Special Order Item' are bought to order and non returnable. All products in our Light Switches & Sockets section are made to order and therefore classed as 'Special Orders' for the purposes of our returns policy.

You will only be refunded your delivery cost if the return is as a result of our error (e.g. a faulty product, or incorrect shipment). If we agree to provide you with a refund we will usually credit your credit/debit card account within 30 days of receipt of the returned product.
